This month's devotional images come from the pocket devotional from Outdoor Insights, With God on the Hiking Trail, written by musician and songwriter Nathan Chapman of Nashville, Tennessee. In addition to music, Chapman is an experienced backpacker from years of hiking in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. He combines the lessons learned on the trail with the lessons of the Bible. In my devotions I have put Chapman's words in quotes, or in the case of the prayers, put nc after the Amen. The haikus are all my own summaries of the essence of the lesson. Unless otherwise indicated, the background photos are all from my own collection of 'trail' pictures. Locations noted when I could remember!
