TAPESTRY MANDALA PRAYERS WINTER 2023

TAPESTRY-MANDALA PRAYERS

January - February 2023

"Quilt Blocks"?

Following Epiphany and before the season of Lent, I am concentrating my prayers into self drawn tapestry or quilt block prayers - one design for each week.  Daily I highlight a new area and fill it with my thoughts and prayers, joys and praise for that day.   I will only post the completed square at the end of each week.  I am using d365.org for my scripture inspirations.

January 7-13

I confess I didn't draw this design, but found it in my collection of Celtic Knot patterns.

January 14-21

An extra day included this week to get back to a Sunday to Saturday schedule!

An abundance of prayers this week for those fighting cancer: Kenny Ryan, Jim Lissman, Laura Walker, Karen Austin, Jude, Jenny Ellingson, Camber Ellingson, and so many more!

January 22-28

Many prayers this week as we helped Margaret clean up some of the areas in her house that REALLY needed help!!  Fun family time, however, in spite of the work. First time all the siblings together since Mom's service in 2019.  The service for Marg's husband Ron was on the 28th.

January 29 to February 4

A little Celtic knot action with prayers weaving in and out all week!  Special prayers at the end of the week for my brother Mac who fell and broke his femur - ended up with a total hip replacement.

February 5 - 11 Prayers

Put a little 'sunshine' into this week's design - especially since I discovered the first of my daffodil bulbs poking up through the ground!   Prayers answered -- Mac is home!

February 12 - 18  VALENTINE PRAYERS!

A week of hearts and love!

February 19-21  President's Week Prayers

A very short week, as Ash Wednesday begins Lenten devotions!  But we can celebrate our presidents for a few days!

December 26 - 31   Rejoice!  Jesus Is Born!

The sunrise this morning as the sky turned from dark to light was my inspiration this day.

January 1 - 6   Epiphany!
